ESSAY BODY(APPLICATION OF SOFTWARE IN SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIIES )

Firstly, Software's are sets of instructions, data, or programs used to operate a computer and execute specific tasks, in simpler terms it tells the computer hardware how to function (Braden, 2022). Without software, computer systems would be useless. for example , the web browser is an application software that allows the user to access information from different websites with the use of the internet. Without the web browser software, the purpose of using the computer system to gain knowledge would not be possible (Braden, 2022).

Using Software's in the learning environment can be positivly effective and increase the evolution of classroom activities and student relations to learning. Teachers are known to carry lots of textbooks for thousands of students in an undeveloped community, this problem can be easily solved by making use of software's application to organize educational content for students of various categories (juniors and seniors, freshers, sophomores, and final years) with a given access to various information (Yefremenko, 2021). This way, all vital information can be created and kept for various courses (Yefremenko, 2021). Moving on Software applications can be used to track students progress and behaviour. Every student has potential in different academic skills, but the question remains how are we able to track every student's experience and achievements to know their weak point and strong point in the learning environment? Software allows easy access to monitor every student's progress in school based on their different criteria without having to go through the stress of a face-to-face activity (Yefremenko, 2021). It has been discussed in the previous paragraph on how software can benefit both schools and universities, moving on to the disadvantages of software in the learning environment. Distractions have always been a negative aspect in education that affects students' progress in both studies and assessments, having software applications and can increase the level of distractions in class and lectures, “Research suggest that during class time with smartphones, 42% of the time that students spend on their smartphones in the classrooms was to text, tweet or engage in social software applications” (anonymous 2022). Secondly, using software applications requires lots of management and training of the entire classrooms which and be time-consuming (anonymous 2022), Application of software in the learning environment can also lead to inefficient learning by the student, student would not have to work for information anymore because they know they can easily find it with a click of few buttons in the software application (Walter & Jennifer Walter Jennifer Walter is a psychology professor, 2022).

INITIAL IDEA 2

Database Design       A database is an organized collection of structure information, or data that are electronically stored in the computer system which is controlled by the DBMS (database management system). Database management system   are software systems used to store, retrieve, and run queries on data. All database system stores data using file, records and fields (Graham, Brian, and David. (2010)  information and communication technology. 2nd ed. London. Hodder education): FIELD: A file is a single item of data, such as forename or date of birth which has a field name that is used to identify it within a database. RECORDS: A record is a collection of fields, for example all the information about one person or item FILE: A file is an organised  collection records, usually where all the records are organised so that they can be stored together. In addition, according to  Graham, Brian, and David.   information and communi...

DIAGRAM 1. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE (SDLC)

Software development lifecycle (SDLC) are the steps recurred in other to carry out and improve the process of developing a software application.  PLANNING:   This include the calculations of material cost and labor to create a timetable with a goal allowing the application outline and boundaries that are needed to keep the project from expanding beyond scope DEFINE REQUIREMENT:   This is used to define what the application is meant to do including resources needed to be identified and built into the project in order to achieve the goal . DESIGN AND PROTOTYPING:   This are the designing steps that instructs the application on how it will work. Some of these steps include Programming, Security, Communications, Architecture and Platforms. After the design has been defined, a prototype of an early version of the software can be created to demonstrate a basic idea of how the application will work. SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:   This is where a program ...
